I also work out about 3 times a week doing cles at the gym (yoga and a cycle cl) and swimming laps for about 40 minutes to an hour at the pool. Hypnotizing myself-is this is a good or bad idea?

I have a big swim meet tomorrow and on Saturday, and there is a cut time I'm trying to get. I have been practicing really well and feeling great about myself in practice, but for some reason when it comes to meets I begin to doubt myself and feel negative. I've been listening to this hypnosis visualization tape to try and help with that, and it seems to work for practice but, I want to be extra sure for this meet, so a friend suggested that I put the tape on repeat and play it while I sleep, quiet enough for me to be able to fall asleep, but loud enough just so that my subconscious takes it in while I'm sleeping. I had doubts about this because at the end of the tape, the man narrating it tries to take you out of the relaxed state your in, and seeing as the tape is only 15 minutes long, I'm worried that if I put it on repeat all night I'll wake up every 15 minutes, but if I'm deeply sleeping, that shouldn't happen. Do you think my friends' suggestion is a good idea? And if not, what should I do to mentally prepare myself and be confident for my races?

In the past year we have had 3 employee's quit because of my manager's attitude and the way she handle's things. All the employee's come up to me (i'm the istant manager) and complain about here coming in late and how she always sits at her desk doing nothing (putting make-up on, balancing her check book, talking to other manager's on the phone about un-related work things). People bust their es around there and she always gives them **** on how it wasn't done right, when she gets paid over two thouand dollars a month to come in an hour and a half late, and then sit there all day and not do anything. Recently i had reported an obvious theft to her and when i had came in the next day she was at the home office, left me no note about if he was fired (he was working 3rd shift weds-sun and it was Tuesday) since my manager was at the home office at a manager meeting i decided to call my zone manager (that has been aware of everything that has been happening at the store including her coming in late and not doing anything) and asked her what was going on with that and she had no idea about it. She asked me to send her an email of all the times that theft happend and i did what she told me and at the end i said that it was obviously not brought to her attention and my manager was very offended by that because she thought that i was trying to get her in trouble. The next day my manager and i had talked, she closed the office door and was basically screaming at me the whole time and had the nerve to ask me if i needed to leave because she didn't like my attitude, when i never had an attitude, she was screaming and i was trying to defend myself because she took the email completly the wrong way. She told me that it was too blurry for her to see him not pay the full amount when he clearly didn't. I defended that and said yes it is clear and she then asked if im telling her how she should do her job, after that i just sat back and listened to what she said because if i was to say how i felt about anything she would have fired me. Question is, this has been going on for more than a year and was watching camera on me when i had to work a double and had everytime that i walked outside and was on my cell phone the whole night and is going to dock me 4 hours (the total hours that i was in and out of store and on my phone) when she is on salary (im hourly) and even though she comes in an hour and a half late every single day for over a year and does nothing but sit at the desk, makes cashiers do her work. If my district manager is aware and is doing nothing is there a hotline that i can call or should i just go to the owners of the company because he is unaware of all of this and if he knew my manager would have been fired. If you are connecting to the console of the device then you need a rollover console cable...usually light blue in color. You connect the console cable to the CONSOLE port on the router or switch and the other end to the serial port on your computer. It is free to use and works great as a console program. You will need to setup TeraTerm for 9600 baud 8 data bits 1 stop bit and NO FLOW CONTROL. That is the default setting for any Cisco console device. If you are using linux you will most likely use a program called MINICOM for connecting to the serial port. It can be difficult to setup if you are a LINUX newbie, however it works just as good as other programs.

I have this random blindness?!?

sometimes i will go slightly blind in one eye its really weird, its only like one part of one eye though and i have no wats up. i dont have perfect vision either and i have a lazy eye in one eye, but thats not the eye thats get the "blind spot" i guess you could say. How can I keep it from happening again? There was a recent problem in the electric- it sounded like a transformer blew or something and there was crackling in the appliances of the house, I ran and unplugged the computer, and the DVD player started smoking. I ran and unplugged the TV and DVD players, and by the time I got back to the office, there was smoke coming up there too, my subwoofer and printer fried. I lost our American DVD player, my subwoofer speaker system, and my printer. These were plugged into two surge protectors, one plugged into the other. There are three fuses, the main one for the whole house out at our counter, a main one for the downstairs, and then the fuse for the outlet. How come none of them turned off, but the appliances got fried?

I make fresh salsa all the time, and now i have way too many tomatoes and plan to can some salsa. but the recipes seem to call for a LOT more jalapenos than I put in my fresh salsa, and i make it about the equivalent of a medium store-bought canned salsa. ** Do the jalapenos end up milder when you cook the salsa as you are canning it in a water bath? ** Or do I have extra hot jalapenos or something? Eating chocolate and weight loss?! Easy ten points!!?

Chocolate is not a very calorie dense food. In fact, Im pretty sure its considered to be rather empty. As long as you eat below your maintenance, and you eat chocolate, you wont gain weight. But chocolate has alot of calories so in order for you to lose weight and eat chocolate that would have to be the only thing you ate the entire day. I don't recommend going on a choco-diet, as good as it sounds, its just too good to be true.

I've been taking aviane birth control pills for the past 3 1/2 to 4 months. Recently I decided during my last pack I wanted to get off of them because they were making me fat. My period works like clockwork and is always on time, especially after taking the pills. During the "sugar pills" (the green ones) I had my period which was on the 14th of april then stopped taking the pills on the 17th. (3 days later). It has been 15 days since I have taken the pills. My sister did the same thing had her period like clockwork then took her last pill and didnt buy another pack and got her period AGAIN like three days after she stopped taking the pills. Could I be pregnant??? Or would my period just resume like usual in the 28 day cycle like clockwork?

the DNA wasn't the strongest part of the case against Knox, the strongest part in my opinion were the contradictory answers she gave to questions when she was interrogated and the fact that she purchased a quantity of cleaning materials after the time the death occurred and then the fact that she attempted to place the blame on a person with an alibi. All of which added up to proof beyond reasonable doubt that she had acted as part of the murder.

My mom has been getting on my nerves A LOT lately. She acts like she doesn't have kids. For example she goes to bingo like EVERY night, and complains that she has no money, WHEN shes using that money to play bingo. First, in your position I would not try to reimburse her for the gifts. I would give them to a charitable organization like Shelters for Battered Women or the homeless. I would tell what I had done ,donated in her name, and that you didn't need it or already had what ever it is and because you know how generous and giving she is and knew she would not mind. As for her going to you at every doctor visit, I would either tell her the truth, that's your special time to ask the doctor questions and her being there distracts you or that the doctor asked that you came alone and ask him any questions she may have because it's distracting and taking up too much of his patient time. You are not going to change your aunt, it's not in your power. You can change the way you interact with her and be upfront about saying no and expressing your feelings. Why worry about how she will react? She's already talking about you to the family and you're letting her have her way. How could it be worse if you didn't let her have her own way? How do i tame a super-scared iguana?

I've looked almost everywhere on the net and it says that to tame your iguana, you need to get one at a very young age. Well, not on my case. My iguana is about 3-4 years old. Its previously lived in a careless family who would just let it rot in a dark box. I also diagnosed him with Metabolic Bone Disease. Well, i cured him of that and now he's pretty much healthy except for the fact that he always runs like he's swimming in air, despite him having pretty good claws right now. I think he got used to having no claws for 3 years, but he still walks like a regular iguana. If I have a Mutated Infection. Can a Doctor diagnose it? How?

5 years ago I had surgery. Few weeks later a lesion opened and it was determined by the Emergency Doctor I had a Staph Infection. I had an ellergic reaction from the medication. My feet and ankles became swollen. It then moved up my legs. Today I'm swollen all over. I've seen 32 Doctors. They have no clue to the reason for my swelling. I've been through test after test. At one point I had chest pains and was rushed to Emergency. The EM Doctor admitted me into the Hospital cause I had 4250mg protien in blood. I recieved saline for 3 days and lost 42lbs. The Doctors could not determin why protien was in blood. Protien is present in Urin and low amounts in blood today. Still Doctors don't know why. Today my blood presure is avg, 140 to 150. I'm taking high blood presure pills. I have bad reactions everyday 3 to 4 times. When I get a reaction. I can see my neck go from normal to extream swollen. It happens through out my whole body including my head, arms, hands, legs and feet. Under skin, I feel and see clumps of cells moving to areas that creat extream swelling all over. The Doctors don't believe these things are moving when this is actuly happenning. I've told this to every Doctor I've seen. They dont believe me. They just bounce me around their group network and in an out of labs and X-ray departments and still no explenation for my swelling. My condition is real bad. I'm in serious need of help. I have no medication to fight my problem. They do supply me with pain pills to deal with my reactions and pains. I'm being ignored by the Doctors. Not one of the 32 Doctors is willing to help. Is there anyone out there with this type of condition. I need help... badly.

I am Jewish but know a good deal about Christian teachings. But a question came up the other night that I could not answer. I know that Jesus is believed to have been resurrected after his death. What do you think about this denomination?

I was raised in the Lutheran church but for several years now have been attending a friends church which is an embly of God church. This was quite a change from the traditional services to very contemporary. But felt I could be flexible enough to adapt. However, I have found some things that make me wonder about this church. For one the pastors messages which I really like tend to follow a self-help them. They don't tend to cover the bible stories or verses as much as I expected. Instead many of the messages somehow incorporate a page in the bible or story and expand into how your can get past trouble, or lift financial burden or move forward. Among some of the topics. However, as much as I like the self-help in my experience church was to learn the scriptures and understand them to have a closer relationship with God not self-help. In fact our focus is not supposed to be on ourselves. Then people can go upfront to be prayed for. people in this church give testamonies on several occasions it has been they have been a drug addict, armed robbery commited a list of crimes but now they're a christian. It's not that I expect that people not ever have a past but it seems like several testamonials have been like that. In addition, there is the speaking of tongues and lutherans believe this is a gift that certain individuals can have. However, there is this man who every service on a certain day will start speaking in tongues. He goes on for two or three minutes. Then the pastor will translate to the congregation what he said in english. I find this questional at best. If someone was speaking to me in english for three minutes. I would have a difficult time remembering what they said. Let alone in tongues. Yet the pastor recites for three minutes what was supposibly said. I feel like he just makes this up. Then this church is very particular about everything fitting into an age category. plus the people who stand on the stage must all be wearing matching colors. the front of the church is likea stage and they have these huge theater curtains that can be dropped. Quite often that is how this church seems to me like it is a big production and not geniune. I'm not saying that the people who attend there are not geniune in their faith. But the approach seems like it is too emotionally driven they play emotional music at just the right to bring out emotions. Also it seems like with the scripture self-help sermons the goal is for self-help. what can the pastor messages do to help me out . There seems like there are are an overabundance of self- more than usual I've met some very self-absorbed people there who seem to like drama. It's not that I'm downing this denomination but I really don't understand it. Could someone explain the embly of God denomination and maybe explain some of these things.

I'm 42 too but haven't noticed a change in my cycle yet. However a few years ago I had the problem that you are experiencing. I went to the doctor in the end and it was diagnosed as cyclical mastitis. There's not alot they can do other than experiment with contraceptive pills. I got myself some 1000mg evening primose oil capsules and it went down after about 2 months. Might be worth a try though do read up on recommended doses on evening primose oil as I seem to remember reading something subsequently that too much is bad?

My honda accord '98 (automatic), was running beautifully until it randomly started grinding while i was driving it. I towed it home which was like 10 miles away. then the car started running again for about 20 feet before it stopped again, it hasnt moved after that.The car is extremely loud now, worst than before. Ok we have had htis horse since she was a baby. well she was my grandmas horse than. When she was old enough to get broke my grandma took her to this guy who completely wrecked her! The guy was just riding her out of the barn and she got scared and bolted and they went flying out and he fell off and got a relly bad concustion. my grandma gave the horse to my mom. When we got her back the lady said she was solid as a rock so about a week later I got on her(i was 7 and now i am 12) and my mom led her around. My mom stopped her and all at once she was trying to bolt and my mom was trying to hold on to her she was spinning n cirlces andi coldn't do anyhting becuz my foot was stuck in the stirrup. When i got my foot out of the stirrup i jumped and if i hadn't of rolled under the fence i would of gotten crushed by her(by the way she is about 15.3 hh) So than my mom traided her with the lady was suppose ot of broken her buy my mom traded her for this ohter horse. Here's the thing - I recently got a promotion at work, which I'm very pleased about but of course requires me to take on a lot more responsibilities. You live in another state, your state will not allow him to get welfare, your insurance will not allow him on your policy, you and your mother are into pipe dreams not reality, he is a danger to your sister and his sibling, what he needs is a mental health placement not bleeding heart relatives who have no real idea of what his problems are nor the real resources to help him in any meaningful way. If there is a mental health facility designed for children in his state of residence then try to get him accepted there and help with the costs. He has a history of medication for disfunctional behavior and I am willing to bet he refuses to take his meds now which is more than half of his problem. If the best his home state has to offer is foster care that is too bad but cannot be helped. It is a tragedy but then I suspect so was his conception to a co-dependent mother and an abusive father.

Drivers license suspended because of fraud?

My brother and his girl friend who works at the police station used my information when they got pulled over and got TWO tickets on my license last year. I am just now finding out that my license has been suspended since January because of what they did to me.I also found out that the tickets went into collections and that my stupid *** brother set up a payment plan to pay off the tickets.The car they got pulled over in is registered to his silly *** girlfriend and she was in the car when they got pulled over.Is there any way that I can get my license reinstated like fast and in a hurry? My job depends on my license being in good standing, I need my job! I am going to make a police report and go down to the DMV but I wont be able to do anything until next week due to it being the weekend and all. Attention Animal Activists and those who aren't so much....?

I love animals but I don't see much use for chickens, cows and pigs other than for food. I don't eat beef, fish, shellfish, lamb, pig. I do on occasion have chicken. I just don't care for the taste and texture of these foods. That said I do think these animals should be raised and killed in a humane way. As for rodeo, I don't care for it. I think people believe it is a bit harsh on the animals almost barbaric. I hope this helps, its just my 2 cents. : )

I am buying a house and I keep seeing/reading it's a buyers market and that there are TONS of homes for sale so I have the power, yet I don't feel that way. Many of the foreclosures are beat up and UGLY. If someone has a property in good/move in ready condition they want full asking price for it and are not negotiation alot. I have an offer in on a house but am considering backing out due to issues with the inspection. There doesn't seem to be alot of choices out there in my price range, neighborhood, that are move in ready. Should I work with the offer I have or wait unti something "better" comes along? Dealing with morning sickness at work?

I am currently 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I started getting all day sickness about 5 days ago. I feel sick ALL day long, have no appetite, and throw up what I do manage to eat. What's the best way to kill insects around ducks and dogs outside?

I live in AZ and am having a cricket and ant problem in my backyard. I have two ducks that live in my back yard and have free range of the whole yard and two dogs that don't spend a lott of time outside. Ever since we got the kiddie pool for the ducks the bugs (crickets, ants beetles, spiders, and water bug's) are attracted to the water and duck food. We want to get rid of the bugs but don't want to put our pets, more the duck's, in any danger. I've read of Boric Acid being a better choice then pesticides but got different answers on weather or not it was safe for pet's.....We mainly concerned about the crickets and ants since they are the worst! One day, I want to build a school for autistic and Aspergian children. Last night, I had a dream about an unusual school. It resembled a fortress more than it did a municipal building. It was a three-story Gothic looking building with gargoyles. The most remarkable feature was the school yard. It was amid the entire school like a courtyard. In other words, the entire structure was like that of a medieval castle. It almost makes me think of Hogwarts. I don't know if the idea is feasible in real life, but I do feel the children would be safer from child predators if they played in the courtyard amid the structure while the clrooms surrounded the entire periphery. 99 Mitsubishi Galant 4cyl running extremely rough?

I have a 99 Mitsubishi Galant 4cyl, and diagnostics say Cyl #4 is misfiring. It shakes back and forth when I take off from a stop, especially when it's cold. I've replaced the spark plugs, cables, and run fuel injector cleaner through. I think maybe the coils or fuel injector, or possible fuel filter, but could anyone help me please?

How to find the main sewer line?

I have a house that was built in the '60s and would like to have a new sewer line tied into the main for my washing machine. There is a cap on the carport wall for access into the line but I can't find one in the yard. Will there be a map in the county records or something?
