Can someone recommend a good PCI sound card not made by Creative?

I have an Audigy soundcard made by Creative that came with my Dell. I get constant popping and crackling noises and for the longest time thought it was my speakers. I finally researched and found it was due to my sound card. I was going to upgrade to a Creative XiFi and read those have the same issues. I would rather just buy a soundcard NOT made by creative but dont see much out there. I mainly use music on PC to listen to Itunes and have some nice Klipsch PC speakers (2 satellites and a subwoofer), but dont need TOO fancy, i.e. 5.1 dolby digital surround sound, etc. Any recommendations?
