If you were on the persecution, what questions would u ask Lutenient Calley for his actions in My lai?

I've read different accounts on soldiers present when the attack on My Lai occurred, and one said that when Lt. Calley had to give the orderst to kill every person in the village he looked like he didn't want to. So, I would ask him if he did it because they were orders or because he truely believed that every woman, man, and child was related to the communist in Vietnam.
