How do I make him reconsider?

Ummm well I really don't understand what your talking about but -- if you've never lied to him before -- tell him the reasons you lied so he understands, ask him his opinions on the matter and that you won't do it again, ask him to give you another chance... if he doesn't then its over and you need to move on.
